Workthrough Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or submit a form on workthrough.ca (the "Site").

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect your web browser, IP address, time zone, and cookies installed on your device. As you browse the Site, we collect information about individual web pages or products you view and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this as "Device Information." We collect Device Information using Cloudflare.

COOKIES

Cloudflare does not inject cookies unless the site owner has opted to use Cloudflare products that use cookies. Workthrough.ca has not used those products.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

When you submit a form through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, business name, and email address. We refer to this information as "Contact Form Information." We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.

SUBSTACK NEWSLETTER

If you sign up for our email newsletter on substack, the platform collects your email address and stores it. We do not export those emails and upload them to another email marketing service unless you consent.

DATA RETENTION

When you complete a form through the Site, we will maintain your Information for our records by using Firebase unless and until you ask us to delete this information. When surveys are administered, we may also store personal information in GSuite, a CRM and Typeform or Google form.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We generally use the information we collect to fulfill any correspondence requests placed through the Site (including processing your form data, arranging meetings, and providing you with information about our services). Additionally, we use this Form Information to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Screen our inquiries for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, we provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address) and, more generally, to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site). We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful requests for information we receive, or to protect our rights otherwise.

THIRD-PARTY LINKS

We do not include or offer third-party products or services on our website. We may link to third-party sites that provide products or services under their privacy policy and terms of use, but those links will not include PII.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The use of the Personal Information and Data we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service. We will post a notice on the Service if we make any material changes in how we use Personal Information and Data. Still, in all respects, We will only use Your Personal Information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act ("PIPEDA") and other relevant provincial privacy legislation. You are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service when you use the Service after such changes have been first posted.
